Cigar humidor
One of a kind · Price on request
A humidor with a hand-woven straw lid framed in ebony and an interlaced geometric pattern in solid wood around the body.
The work
Conceived as a tribute to the unhurried pleasure of a fine cigar. The lid is set with hand-woven straw, a quiet nod to the Panama hat and the sunlit tobacco fields of the Caribbean. Around the body runs an interlaced geometric pattern, cut, fitted and matched by hand until the motif wraps the box without a break.
Materials and making
Geometric inlays in ebony, amaranth and maple, with Panama-style straw on the lid. The interior is lined in Spanish cedar, the wood cigar makers have trusted for generations: it naturally regulates humidity, protects against tobacco beetles and slowly adds its subtle scent to the leaf. A humidifier is set into the lid.
