Gran Sasso Chessboard
A chessboard conceived as a mountain: press the summit and the board rises, ready for play; press again and it withdraws, quietly locked away.
The workshop
A workshop in Santarcangelo di Romagna.
I am Raffaele Piscitelli, a woodworker from Santarcangelo di Romagna, known online as Califfo. EBANIA was born from a simple wish: to create luxury bespoke pieces, handcrafted in Italy to elevate the spaces you call home.
Every object is designed and built by hand, one at a time. Alongside one-of-a-kind pieces, I make bespoke objects to a personal design: it starts with an idea, becomes a drawing, then becomes wood.
